Knowing that Woody
Paul has an obvious interest in things scientific (the shirts betrayed him), and
that he usually (or used to) drives, and often repairs, the 'band Bus', I have
combined these 'elements' into a new piece of retro-futuristic cowboy headware
that I call the 'Carboy hat'. Perhaps the 'Riders' will sport such headgear by
their 10,000th show, who knows!

Just a little 'heads up' for RITS saddle pals everywhere. With the
newly-announced closing of western South Dakota's Ellsworth AFB, the Government
has authorized the sale of a number of surplus military saddles that were in
'mothballs' at that facility. These were last used in the early fifties. No
price yet, but with a little 'elbow grease' and a bucket of Nev'r dull, these
things should buff-up as good as new.

A little airbrush, a little colored pencil here
and there, Voila! A singing cowboy bird. My apologies to Ranger Doug for not
giving the bird an archtop...but it was ten years ago, and my tastes is stringed
instruments had not been as yet,...'cultivated' to the high degree it is today.

I've designed a new saddle that combines the look of a 1954
Cadillac with a familiar piece of riding tack...I call it the 'Sadillac'.
The only real...'problem' that's cropped up so far, is that it's equipped
with an 8 track sound system, so it's nearly impossible to listen to the
RITS while riding on the thing. I'm working on it.

Perhaps a fitting vehicle for the
'Riders' to drive to their more...'rural' western-states concerts in. A
beautiful, exceedingly rare, vintage 'Bufflomobile' sedan.

And for the Western aviation enthusiasts out there,
'Buffalo Wings'(probably from the South Dakota Air National Guard fighter

The watercolor 'Butterfly Roundup', was painted as a two-page 'spread'
illustration for a children's picture-book titled 'The Strangest Thing I
Ever Saw'.
