At 3 months, we've now figured out Alex is an Akita mix and favors the breed even though his mom and dad were all black.   Alex prefers to have his chin, chest and tummy petted ... NOT his head, which we hear is another Akita trait.  He will be smaller than a full breed but just as beautiful!  :)
